Bamboo Storage Box - Compartment Organiser for Tea Bags and Jewellery

A compartmented bamboo box, made for the small things that otherwise migrate: tea bags, earrings, cufflinks, the second set of keys. Bamboo rather than plastic because a box that lives on a counter is furniture, and furniture should look like it was chosen.

What it is made of

Solid bamboo. Bamboo is technically a grass, and it grows dense enough to machine like a hardwood while staying considerably lighter - which is why the box feels substantial without being heavy to lift down from a shelf. It also resists moisture better than most timbers, which matters wherever tea is kept.

How it works

Fixed compartments divide the interior, so contents stay separated instead of sliding into one heap when the box is carried. Wipe clean with a dry cloth - bamboo does not want to be soaked, and it does not need to be.

Where it earns its place

• Fixed dividers, so nothing slides into one pile when it is moved
• Bamboo resists moisture better than most timber, which matters for tea
• Machines like hardwood but lifts like a much lighter material
• Finished to sit out on a counter rather than inside a cupboard
