What it is made of

A stretch nylon blend. Pleats in a stretch fabric are heat-set rather than sewn, which keeps them uniform around the full circumference and stops them softening after washing. The stretch content lets the skirt move with a stride and return without a crease out of place.

How it fits

An elasticated waist at the natural line, with an inner short beneath the pleats and a zipped pocket set into the waistband. The pleats begin at the waist rather than the hip, so the flare starts high and the line stays long.
